Bought a BAC Mono instead of a sequential Atom 4

Yep, my mistake. F3.

So my friends comparison is about right, spose. A re-bodied F3 car, v broadly speaking.

I guess one could argue why not buy a race car & use the (considerable) change to buy a road car (or two). Tbh, I've not seen many Mono's on the track over the years, so I figure most owners use them on road. Bit like the Atom, in that respect.

Cheers,
Hedge

Simple answer, thats because it is thrilling to look at during lock downs and it is f*cking awesome on the road as well as on the track.
It is brilliant on the road, I do like 1 or 2 trackdays every year, why bother buy a lot of cars if I can have an all in one.

As like the atom, even on boring trips, its still a nice experience driving it

Is there anything even more mental than the BACmono?

That's been my ultimate car wish for a long, long time. Unfortunately they were a bit delicate even back then, so that moment has passed I think.

Awesome, £100k opens it up to whole range of motors though, plus what about all my friend?

Lack of an S on the end of your sentence made it amusing reading :-)
GR Yaris CP for when it rains, Atom 4 for when it doesn’t.

But there’s definitely an element of sharing nuttiness. Scaring a mate, work colleague etc.

Who do you stand in the pub with and discuss how bonkers your Atom (or Nomad) is?

I guess you just stand facing a wall, in the corner and chat to yourself.......? A little bit like you used to do when you were a kid, wrap your arms around yourself and pretend you’re snogging someone in the corner?

C’mon, you ALL know what I mean.....don’t you, don’t y o u ??

Just my opinion, but I take it that you're not in a relationship, or if you are, you want to get away from you're partner, plus, you don't have any friends you want to share your experience with.

Even when I was single (a widower), I loved taking people out in my Atom, which is how I met my Wife Nadine, and even my Motorbike has a Pillion Seat, as there's nothing better than sharing, so a Single Seater would not make my list of vehicles I'd want to own.

But then, everyone to their own, and I hope you enjoy your solo drives.

There is only one chance I divorce my wife, that is if she touches or comes too close to the car😂

But as you said each to their own. I am really bored giving rides all day. All trips I made with the car are me alone driving with a bunch of friends alone in their cars. Thats what I Iike.

Of course there are some people I want to give a ride, but they have to settle with looking at it.

You dont have to share anything now do you? I have a stunning wife, I dont mind you looking at her, but you cant have a ride, she’s a single seater...

Roy,

In the UK we have a phrase, 'a ride for a ride?'
