Driving to France? Check if you need a sticker to avoid a £60 fine

Dont forget to attach you V5.

Look at the FAQ too.
How long time they need you find here:
"I have applied for my Air Quality Certificate"

you will be pleased to know I have applied for it. If the French website is satisfied with date of manufacture then thats ok. Ive uploaded V5.

I will keep receipt for proof of purchase with transaction number in case it doesn't arrive in time. We go in 4 weeks time

thank you all for your help

Here you can track your order: https://www.certificat-air.gouv.fr/en/suivi
And look here too, because you have to put the sticker on the frame if you have no window. The nomads have to put it on the window.
https://www.certificat-air.gouv.fr/en/aide-certificat

Now you are on a secure side because they check more and more often electronically.

It was a pleasure to help you.

Btw, GraemeW, are you driving at the Swiss autobahn too?

Thanks Curves. Yes we will be on a very small section of Swiss autobahn but most of the time on Atom roads 😊. I already have the Swiss sticker. It arrived today.

If you are in the area it would be very good to meet up with you somewhere? I can PM you our itinerary?

Thats fine and better than a big penalty. It's 200 SFR.

So attention, if your car have no window - like the Ariel Atom have you can put the sticker on on two ways.
First way:
It is not allowed to put the sticker on all fiberglass items because you must attach the vignette to a non interchangeable part. So you can put it on the frame if you want to put it on the car directly.
Second way:
Do you have a vehicle licence, like we have here named "Fahrzeugschein" in your pocket, not a sticker? I dont know this?
If yes, make a copy and put the Swiss sticker on this copy - thats all. Put this copy in your AA boot.
AND its legal but only for the Ariel Atom without window, not for the Normad.

Yes, that will be fine. Maybe one day driving the same way together. Yes send me by PM please.
Are you visiting your brother before going on tour?
This is your tour - starting at East go to West and back Home. Driving 300-400 km per day.
