Same old formula presented by those without the charisma of those who went before.
Disappointing.

I watched till the end but it was a struggle.....even cringeworthy at times.

This.

Actually had to shut my eyes at points.

Lets see what, "The Grand Tour" can manage.

Just watched the ExtraGear segment.

100% more interesting than the main show.

Glad I watched having Sky+'ed it as I found it quite hard going

Had thought CE would take the chance to revise the format (which was getting a little tired with the old team) but he seems to have retained the original format, kept the set and many of the props and instead changed the presenters and decided to shout and shreak a lot

It's obviously a very hard mission to follow C, H and M in a way that charms the existing fans but as others have said this seems like a new TG that is aimed primarily at the overseas market - first feature two American cars shot in the US ?? Very odd choice

Agree the Nomad slot was pretty good all things considered

Thought the Times review this AM was pretty good - can't expect there to be immediate chemistry within a new team but it lacks the perspective that came from 3 Middle Aged Brits messing around and seems to have replaced that with the cult of celebrity - even in the Nomad piece the baddies were paparazzi the hated pursuers of the celeb

Ah well

I thought at first there was something wrong with my TV volume, then noticed it was Evans shouting like a kids game show.
sack evans and put Chris Harris in his place

Just watched the Nomad piece again on catch up. Great coverage for Ariel and the Nomad, great camera work and I thought Le Blanc was good.

I also saw him on Graham Norton where they show the Nomad as an example of the new Top Gear, Ariel and the Nomad get great coverage.

Win win for Ariel all round.

So, that was what all the fuss was about...

Yawn....

It takes real talent to make watching Ken Block dull.

Is it me or is this series just terrible? I know we have to give them time, but really? I'm only actually watching out of a cocktail of loyalty and hope, but it's not looking good. I might have to turn to real cocktails to make this even close to entertaining and watchable...

The Grand Tour doesn't need to do much to steal the entire TG watching audience

Watch out, Top Gear... you may be about to lose a loyal viewer (and multiple former audience member)

Just watched this episode on catch up which part explains why viewing figures are down (catch up TV). Actually caught myself laughing at certain points.

Reviews of new cars very good, two good guests who played well off each other.

This is a show that is past its sell by date, all the funny tours, pranks etc have been done so unless there are new cars to review there's not a lot to make a show about, it's all been done.

I enjoyed, perhaps a few wrinkles but getting better.

Watched the first episode to see the Nomad.

Would have preferred Gordon Ramsey to have been main presenter and Leblanc his side kick.

Didnt watch second episode and only watched half of third (Crap)

My opinion

TFI TOPGEAR

Wont be watching any more unless I hear of something really exciting being on

Oh dear.....must be in the minority.

Thought the first episode was OK, but way too much of a copycat. Thought the second episode was much better and the third even better! If I really want a detailed, factual review, I buy a magazine (normally  Evo) but if I want an hours entertainment I watch TV.......and the new Topgear is entertaining!

The mix of cars is excellent, the photography/filming stunning and the presenting entertaining......what's not to like?

Not many could do better!.....stop following Britains best trait.....moaning for the sake of it!!!!

So, the new series of TG without Ginger is finished.

Opinions?

In my view MUCH better. The presenters are becoming a team. The format is still the same old same old (car into boat etc.) but a little more stylish somehow.

I think they should look to move the format forward and make it more distinctive, but this isn't the disaster that the last series was.

Well done chaps!
