Would have been a COYS auction, the program above were selling the cars they had restored, Mexico mk1 (orange and very nice), Landy mk1 etc.

Yup. I  showed up with a mate to bid on an SL... didn't win it though.

Wasn't aware that the programme was being filmed beforehand, but we all had to sign waivers.

Just watched it... Well spotted, Michael. Blink and you would have missed me - apart from the glamorous shot of my gut through the windows of the Mini...

The friend I was with (the bald guy) asked me to restrain him, then drank quite a bit and was keen to bid on everything! He was set on the Landy, but that price was crazy.
