Insurance costs

Post by MingtheMerciless » Wed Mar 15, 2023 5:59 pm

Apologies if this is has been covered many times, but what is a representative insurance quote? Mines £2322 on renewal with a £500 increase from last year (Atom 4).

Supercharged atom 3.5 less than £900 no no claims as it’s a new policy. Not a bad deal on reflection.

It's very dependant upon individual circumstances, I.e. location, driving experience , age etc but that does seem rather high bearing in mind I have no experience and I paid about a third of that cost for my new Atom 4 with Classicline. Just try all the insurer on the Ariel Club list https://ariel.club/insurance/ Some may ask for a tracker like MSM, but others like Classicline don't seem to

Sorry another question - can anyone say which insurance company they are insured with? I have 3 cars, 2 in Ireland and one in UK so I am trying to stay with the same insurance company (Chubb).

Call MSM and talk to Dave 01279 870535. He's very helpful.

Just a what’s app I sent a mate just now who asked me how many miles on it?

I don’t regret it. I’ve had more than 1000 miles of extreme madness in it. I won’t go to my death saying I wish I hadn’t bought the Atom with the same colour panels as the Ohlins dampers. Unless I’m in it.

I'm with Reis, and my current insurance cost me £423.66 for my 2006 Atom 2 that I've had from new, although as I don't drive large distances any more, it's for a limited annual mileage of 2000 miles.

I'm with A-plan, £530 for Mugen no5, 3k miles, no track days, that was £350 extra for 5.

Following on from my post, and mypresenttome's post, my annual insurance of £423.66 also includes 6 UK/Europe Track Days (excluding Nurburgring/Nordschiffe) at no extra cost.

Unfortunately, I now only take part in the Liverpool Motor Club Track Days held at Aintree Motor Racing Circuit, which isn't on their List, so I take part uninsured.

I'll second that, Dave and Janet are incredibly helpful... and gave me by far the best quote
Atom 4, Jaguar I Pace, Honda cr-v (dog carrier), Mini JCW (wife's)

A-Plan were recommended to me,

But I went with Adrian Flux last July. £745.95 with Atom 3.5 SC

Additional £25 each track day when you give them notice.
