Atom 4 owners whatsappgroup

We started an atom 4 whatsappgroup, which I think is a nice addition to a forum and facebook and while only for owners also a bit less public than the “available to the world” nature of a forum and facebook.

I experienced this type of group with the Mono and 3-11 and it really was a helpfull source of information.

Owners from all over the world who want to join are welcome to pm me their phonenumber and I’ll add you.

23 owners in less than a week, seems like it wasn’t a bad idea

To be clear, it is meant for owners of an Atom 4 and this includes people with an atom 4 on order.

Good idea Speedmachine. I’ve been there for a week. Some interesting stuff. I just have one concern. Normally I’ve setup Ariel WhatsApp groups usually for local events. But this atom4 group has a lot of technical content as well which is all very useful, but;

1. It spreads this sort of content into a third location. WhatsApp Facebook and this forum, which over time makes it more difficult to find information on a topic, for what is already a small community.

2. There is no easy search facility in WhatsApp

I appreciate as a quick and easy way to share insights etc the WhatsApp group is great but there is a risk of devaluing this forum? So important topics should be placed here instead, or, as well.

Everybody to its own, but I see it as an addition rather than a substitute.

A lot of people dont fancy asking for technical help on a public board, as you can see in the group that is more easy as it is owners amongst each other.

There is a Nomad group as well and there are multiple groups on the Atom topic, so no need to be afraid for the forum. Just like the facebook group didnt change a lot here.


Main reason for a group is the faster nature of a group against a board/forum. You can ask a quick question on track or on your way with some trouble and have quick response, very different to forums.

Each has its own benefits, I use both and dont use facebook, one can choose whatever they fancy, use 1,2 or all

So a little update, the group is 51 owners (or soon to be owners) large now and people tend to share very different stuff than on the forums, as it is much easier to post pics and documents, there is a lot to watch in there.

If you want to join, please use DM/PM, one should not put phonenumbers out there this public, I'll check those everyday.
