Has anyone tried Dream automotive?

Post by Luckky » Tue Feb 22, 2022 7:37 am

Morning all,

Has anyone bought any products from Dream automotive? They now have a dedicated Ariel atom 4 section on their website.

I’ve just purchased their Acuity shifter bushings and detent springs as I’ve seen a few of you saying this mod is worth it. Very good chat function to help you have confidence in ordering.

Any advice when changing the detent springs?

Hi,
I've bought the bushings . Unfortunately only the larger one fits without modification. That's the one with
the most play standard and it's made an improvement .

I bought them from Ariel and fitted them without modification. The big one uses the fitting supplied and the smaller one fits but you have to reuse the circlip which I bent slightly but Ben at the factory sent me a new one out the next day - transformed the change.

Thanks both,

I wasn’t aware the factory did this upgrade, did you add in the two springs too?

I was surprised how easy it was to fit them, I had to reverse drill the smaller black one but ultimately not an issue.

Seems to have made a noticeable difference on mine.

Hi,
What size drill was needed pls ? and was it not too
high as well for the clip to fit ?
Are you referring to the detent springs ? …
I plan to see what it’s like on next track day then maybe
when car goes to factory for service I’d get the springs
fitted

I used a 10.5mm, I used it on reverse setting to stop it biting too hard, for the smaller one, I just lightly pressed on an orbital sander for a minute to strip it down in size slightly. And yes detent springs.

Hope the test goes well.
