One to avoid.

This one has been bought now. A young fella has it I diplomatically said I thought it may not be an R and if it’s not wouldn’t be worth anywhere near the £55k and to be careful and speak with Ariel regarding the car.
But looks like it has had the R upgrade without the pods….
As has the 245 rear tyres and just done a 10.9s 1/4 mile at 124… that’s quicker than the 310 would do I think..?
Where did you hear about the new owner's quarter mile time? I don't doubt it had had tuning work done, that was clear in the advert but as Yorkshire says, without a charge cooler, the power will drop off pretty quickly with repeated use. I know a few of us were suggesting on FB that he may have been hoodwinked by the dealer into paying hugely over the odds for a non-factory tuned 310. Then the whole thread discussion got deleted, and I don't think he ever confirmed that it was a factory R upgraded car - he just showed an options list.

Perhaps he'll pop on here to confirm it one way or another?
He’s on Facebook…

He was there today too but hasn’t posted anything yet.

Tho am sure many will say it’s not an R.. it kinda is really :)

When people have the 245 and then send to factory for a retro fitted supercharger they definitely call it a supercharged atom :p
its that K24 or K20 engine?

Nice, shame it's got a windscreen and no Ohlins - c.£94k list. I would have thought the Nomad R would be better buy for £100k, given its rarity.

Interestingly a 3.5R is rather quicker with a windscreen and side panels than when the aero deflectors are installed (I have both) - takes about 10 minutes to swap either way but, in my opinion, an Atom is massively more pleasant to drive with the windscreen fitted plus it looks considerably more rakish!

But I would agree that it's quite unusual for a 3.5R with the sequential gearbox not to have Ohlins fitted which completely transform the handling!

The asking price, to my mind, is also rather on the high side - especially as it doesn't have TTX's fitted.

Took the #BananAtom for it’s first proper drive since it’s conversion to R power spec. Yes it’s manual and yes it’s on Bilsteins, but it sure looks like an R to me!
