External storage suggestions

Post by travelbug63 » Tue Jan 19, 2021 5:05 pm

We are just about to move and there is currently no where to store my Atom inside. Other than a basic cover I'd be really interested in any suggestions or innovative solutions for giving my Atom the best protection without a garage please.

There has been quite a discussions about Carcoons. Not sure if some of those posts are worth a look?

Won't do a lot in terms of security, but apparently something to consider in the battle against dirt, wet and humidity (?)

This may be a daft suggestion (because it depends on the space you have available) but what about a covered trailer parked up? They range from the super luxury to the PVC-covered.
First Atomised 2001.
Atom (165) > Atom 2 (220) > Atom 3 (300) > Atom 3.5 (310) > Atom 4 (350).
There is no cure.

Depends how windy or exposed it is?

You can get a number of car tents or portable garages. They range from cheapo and nasty that you wouldn't put up in a light breeze to properly load rated for wind and snow.

Look for heavy pvc with applicable load ratings and you'll probably get an Atom sized one for around £600.

Karl, Steve, Namsterbuzz, thanks for your comments very helpful.

Looks like an external car coon is the answer then. Steve not a stupid suggestion you made and I will at some point get a trailer, but it's not a cheap option so the car coon sounds like the answer. I think it's worth going for quality as we could be a bit exposed- moving to the middle of Dartmoor... at least I'll be nearer Crewkerne
