Atom 4 Crutch Harness

I was getting paranoid about my kids slipping out of the harnesses so this evening I fitted the crutch strap. Atom 4 has a separate pre-drilled and welded in nut for additional eye bolts so you can attach the crutch strap to which is nice.

Pretty pleased with this.

That’s a handy improvement on the 3.5. On that you attached both straps to the same fixing.

The 3.5 chassis should have the separate crutch strap mounts as I had them on my car.
Atom 2 160 (05-11) / Atom 3 245 (12-19 ) / Nomad 300 (22-)

Andrew,

The red you can see are the floor mats I made to avoid small stones scratching the tub. Kids get in and out of my car so I would prefer to keep the tub looking nice. The carpet also looks cool I think and makes it much more comfortable when moving your feet around.

Odd, defo weren’t any on mine. Had to bolt them using the same bolt as the main belt.

Each one different I guess.

Thanks Simon,

I think I'll do that to mine when it eventually arrives. Are they glued down or similar?

Thanks

It's quite amazing how much interest these mats have had lol. They are dead easy to make and very cheap also. Originally I asked a company to make me some, but when I received the price of around £500 I fell off of my chair so decided to make them myself, they are a commodity after all. In terms of whether they slide around, they didn't really because the thin felt almost like carpet is glued to a 3mm rubber base. This base gives the mat durability and naturally allows it to "stick" to the tub's surface.

I did not want to glue them in, this would make a mess of the tub and it would be hard to remove them. I made a black set as well although I'm not fond of those and just ordered some yellow carpet so I will make a yellow version as well.

That said, I wasn't entirely happy with just the mats sitting there freely. So today, I just added some velcro tabs to secure them. So they definitely will not move now. This way I can easily add new colours and if I want to get rid of the mat's, I can just pull up the velcro tab no problem.
