FYI I am just in the process of renewing my Atom insurance which expires 1st April:

2008 Supercharged Atom
310 upgrade last year
Market value (£37k)
3000 miles (SDP only)
Garaged
No track days
15 years NCB on main car
Club member

Classic Line - £457 (£250 excess, includes track day cover only for club organised events)
Reis - £347 (£350 excess, non track day cover policy)
Adrian Flux - won't quote as nowhere near either of the above!
I am currently awaiting a renewal quote from A-Plan, but they won't quote until 25 days before renewal date.

Wow, I would love to have these prices...I don't understand why mine are coming out so much more. I can only think it's because the car costs more. Cheapest I have so far is ~£700 from A Plan. Need to dig down into the sofa to find all that cash...It's such a waste of money insurance, dead money really which is why I have a very hard time swallowing it. Like income tax.

Mine was much more expensive when I switched to a Nomad, but equally that cost a big chunk more than the Atom had.

I think the cost plays a big part.

Having heard of the number of crashes that have occurred in Atoms (considering them a rare car that does little mileage), I'd consider it money well spent, rather than wasted. But then that really depends on your view of whether you worry about losing the car.

So far Pace Ward is coming in at £609 without track day cover. So getting better...there is light at the end of the tunnel.

That is a good price, ClassicLine for me was way more than that. Does that include track day cover?

Classic Line quoted me £682.50. Any Car Club organised track days are included in that price. Track days with any other track day provider are £55 each.

I went with them at about this price for a £70k Atom 4.
REIS are very good but over 6 track days it goes to £350 each. I'll do few more than that so this deal was very good accross the year 👍

Cheers,
Stu

I have been looking for an Atom for some time now, and as my 'dream' is close to becoming reality, I decided to check out insurance options.
The best quote for me by a country mile was with Classicline. They were also very helpful.
No mention of previous supercar experience, but I am 56 and been driving cars since 17 with no major issues.
The only problem is I am now looking at getting a concrete garage built in my back garden as a wooden shed will not suffice!
My Mrs is going to literally kill me!

Hyundai Tucson 1.6 N Line

Good luck Phil! I have a garage but only room for 2 cars and there is 1 car in there, the Atom will go in there and I will be building an Ultima RS later in the year so not sure how to manage this, thinking about a 4 post lift.

Anyway on insurance, I managed to get my car insured with classicline for £740, but as I am only young that is ok I think! This includes track days in the uk @ £56 for non Ariel Club arranged events and £200 per day overseas - so the same as everyone else has said with ClassicLine here. They were also very helpful and fast to get back to me.
