Thought I should update the thread. Having replaced the HG I had a few good miles with the addition of an intercooler to keep intake temps down to 20deg from 60, but couldnt get the fueling right so decided to book an RR session. Sadley on the way to the rr the cam tensioner bolt snapped (later 160vvc models have M8 not M6 on the oem turbo) which dinked all the valves :(

What to do?? Well I had a spare 160vvc engine under the bench and decided to rob the head complete with VVC gubbins!! All worked first time :) which was nice, I can now safely say i have more power than I will ever need, the trick will be keeping it all together. Waiting for an opening for rolling road as I still cant get the transitional fuelling right.

Need to make up a back box, currently running a straight through pipe (turbine is a good silenser) to get through track noise limits and then we will see what £600 and a few weekends (actually quite a few) can do!
