Ordered 7th July 2009...
18 month wait

This would mean January 2011 delivery
Expectations are Easter 2011 with Jan 2011 for spec'ing

Prevous Cars:
Elise S1
Jaguar XKR
Honda S2000
Cayman S : Current Car

Ho hum.... so.... the wait.... How best to get through it?

May book a factory visit in September and download some Atom porn in meantime.

Come along to any of the track days that a few of us are at, say hello and come out for a ride.

Actually, that might make the wait even harder. Heck, do it anyway.  :)

In case you havent gathered most of us bought 2nd hand while waiting for the new one...but if you have a Cayman S its not a bad car to have to suffer the wait in !!!

Hi stormcloud, frequent lurking/posting on the forum, trackdays and meeting members/ lifts at meets (owners really are a great ,friendly bunch  ) have got me through so far, but agree it's very painful waiting esp.  with the weather we are having this summer.

Have a few distractions:

Cayman S to Rockingham Raceway this weekend
Wedding in August
Spa track easter next year
Nurburg Ring in summer
Holiday in Autumn

and it still wont be here!.... a Buck Rogers taster session of being frozen in deep space for two years would do the trick. 

I'll keep an eye out for atom meets, I did a similar thing when purchasing an S2000, Monte Carlo blue was the new colour and a fella at the meet had one. 

At least 17months and a bit to go.... must keep strong.

You need to plan at least a couple of trips whilst it is in build.  That'll make the last 4 weeks seem like 4 years.
