New User in Munich, Germany

Just wanted to say Hi,

yesterday I've pickup up my first Atom, it's a really rough Ariel 2 build in 2004 with a natural aspirated engine, but hey it's street legal in Germany.
Somehow I had the chance to drive two Atom 3 with superchargers in 2015-2016, after that I was hooked on the car. Nothing that I ever drove gave me so much fun, nothing was so direct. So when one popped up on a german car site I needed to get it. Rented a tow truck, drove 750km/460miles, and collected the car, drive 750km/460miles back home.

As described before the car is pretty rough but the price was pretty good. So I'm already in contact with Ariel in order to get some parts.

I already have some questions that I could not find via the search so you'll hear more from me in the next couple of days.

On the photographs this Atom looked very sad.
I hope that the final price was a lot less than the latest one in the advert.

Do you perhaps have some information about the rims? I cannot remember to have ever seen them before. My first impression were Pro Race 1.2 with a very different wheel offset, but then realised they had one more spoke.

If so, the previous owner posted on here when he was selling the wings - viewtopic.php?f=3&t=18359?

I would sugggest you contact the Ariel factory in the UK if you need any help or parts - they are very helpful and used to dealing with people from mainland Europe.

yeah, I think that I got the car at a good price.
The car needs a lot of attention and elbow grease but I think that it got a solid base.

Sledgehammer visited me today, more of the story at viewtopic.php?f=23&t=18639. He was taking a closer look at the rims as well. I have no clue what models they are.
Will probably remove them, take them to my buddies tyre shop, ultrasonic clean and balance them. Happy to post detailed photos. Currently the car is incredibly filthy.

I'm already in contact with Matt at the Ariel factory in order to get some parts.

The car in the link isn't the car as my car doesn't have mounting plates for a rollbar.

unfortunately I did not, the car came with nothing. "Found" a digital copy of the Ariel 3.5 handbook.
