K44 NMD - New Owner

Thought I would pop in and say hi. I have taken ownership of Karl's Nomad.

Massive thanks to Karl for selling it, and for all the mods I probably take for granted not experiencing the original "features"

This is my first Ariel, two weeks and 150 or so miles in and its just totally mad! I used to own a Caterham and nearly went back to one but a friend convinced me to get one of these and so far is a cracking choice.

I haven't taken it off road just yet but after watching most of your Sailsbury Plain video I think this is only a matter of time! Where did you start that little adventure?

Welcome [mention]alexmac[/mention], having done some Surrey Hills green-laning and Salisbury Plain with Karl I feel like I know the car well! You will certainly have got some very well thought through and fun mods on that car, congratulations.

Hi Guys

Another newbie Nomad owner here. I am due to pick it up from Ariel next week and my first question is about insurance. As these are specialist cars who is offering the best understanding and therefore price in the market according to your experiences?

Appreciate any help and also would be keen for a blat. I am on the Berks/Surrey border.

If you've not checked out the Club website yet, you may find a few interesting nuggets of info at https://ariel.club, especially https://ariel.club/insurance/

Can't vouch for which provider offers the best cover as everyone's circumstances are different, but hopefully the list of known 'Ariel friendly' insurers will get you on the right track
