What is the mark of a Nomad?

Post by Antong » Mon Jul 13, 2020 6:46 pm

Another hopefully newbie online and aiming to track down a nomad all of my own. Having previously owned all sorts of silly things I have a random question.

My vx220 used to scalp me, the Elise was good at burning shins, the Lancia caused mental anguish - what is the lasting effect of a Nomad?

How did your Elise burn your shins?

I'd say the incessant urge to spin the wheels up from every standstill. So childish but almost impossible not to do all the time.

Good question, btw.

Cheers,

Some great answers, not helping with my excitement!!

The exhaust on the Elise was sneaky and used to stick out just a little too far. Lean into engine to check the oil or ferret in the boot for a lost thing and get a brand from one of the tailpipes

The only bad thing I had was I used to get headaches without ear protection or noise cancelling head phones. Other than that, seperation anxiety, contsantly wanting upgrades, sideways everywhere, aching jaws from smiling and laughing. Its a car that instantly turns any mature self respecting person to have the mentality of a 12 year old.
Oh apparently cleaning is a pain if you like it sparkling all the time.

You can always tell a Nomad owner from the gravel pockmarks on his forehead! :H: :roflp:
Atom 3.5R (Cyprus)
Honda CRV 2.2 Ex Auto i-DTEC (Cyprus)
Suzuki Celerio 1.0 SZ4 (Cyprus)
Honda CRV Ex I-MMD eCVT Hybrid (UK)

Good question Karl V a bloody great grin, a near compulsive need to seek out gravel trails and a bit of a cleaning ocd to keep it shinny..
