Hello from Kent
Hello from Kent
As an Ace owner of three and half years I’ve yet to see another Ace on the road….so I thought I best join the forum and introduce myself rather than being a lurker - here’s a picture of my Ace…….
…... if I hear from other Ace owners I might be persuaded to become a full club member!

That looks Ace!
There don't appear to be many Ace owners round here, and you're right, never seen one on the road either.
Regardless. Welcome!

Re: Hello from Kent
I’ve only ever seen one on the road, in London about 6 months ago. Very nice.

Re: Hello from Kent
Fantastic looking bike. We live to far apart to meet up . I’m in Aberdeenshire.
Re: Hello from Kent
Hello. I have one too, and I'm not too far away, in Essex. I've never seen another on the road, either.
Re: Hello from Kent
Visiting the Ariel stand at Motorbike Live (having had a free ticket from them - thanks!) I sat on the red one there and found it really accommodating. I thought it would be too large but the low seat height made me feel very confident - stationary of course! Now pondering...

Never seen another Ace on the road either. Only seen 1Atom on the road , that was between Tomintoul and Grantown-on-Spey.

Re: Hello from Kent
ABBA stand , good for wheeling the bike about the garage. Tom at Ariel put me on to them , also the bobbins . Anybody know if you can get any protection for the rear drive?
Re: Hello from Kent
This is my "Ace" - okay its VFR1200F in a RC30 tribute colours. Well it shares quite a bit of "ACE" DNA - engine, transmission, swing arm, wheels, electrics. etc. and it proves how versatile the Honda engine is as it makes an excellent sports tourer (even though it a bit heavy compared to an Ace. Ariel certainly took the best bits and made the most of them - full marks on Ace bikes - they are truly wonderful creations, every one of them enjoy.
Re: Hello from Kent
Thanks for the welcome and responses to my OP, good to see pictures of other Ace’s out in the wild. I envy ‘m mcgillivray’ having access to all the amazing roads in Scotland, it’s not the same down here in Kent.
I see ‘Badders’ has Carbon Fibre Wheels on his Ace, I’d be interested in how they affect the handling, perhaps we could meet up next summer and compare?
I’ve put another post on ‘General Ace Chat’ regarding tyres and another Abba Stand
John
PS. Where’s the Ace in the Forum banner?
