Hello, from MADNESS Autoworks (US)
Hi Everyone,
I'm Eric Mackenzie, part of the team at MADNESS Autoworks in Signal Hill (LA/OC), California.
We're a Southern California-based custom shop who recently completed a build on a US-Spec Ariel Atom 3 for SEMA and the LA Auto Show.
We're looking forward to showcasing the work we did on the build, and determining how best we can support the Atom family locally, nationally, and even worldwide.
Our first build was an absolute blast to deliver upon - and we can't shake the feeling. Then again, I'm sure that's the reason behind this forum in the first place. We understand.
We had a chance to make an amazing supercar a bit more exotic - and we'd love to extend a hand to the rest of this community. There's more to come - so much more.

Wow, never realized I'd get a response so quickly!
Thanks for the feedback. My day job here involves playing a number of roles for our company, handling sales and technical calls for the vehicles (and aftermarket parts for these cars) that built our business: the smart, Fiat 500, and most recently, the Alfa 4C. As we're a pretty small team, I'll be lurking and learning here after hours (until I get my own), but I'll do my best to provide responses as quickly and efficiently as I can.
Having started in 2007, it took us a while to build up to a point where we could get something as amazing as an Atom through the doors of our shop, and our guys are finishing the resizing and editing of the LA Auto Show shots in one big batch - so we'll have some professional grade images coming your way tomorrow.
In the meantime, here's a hot shot from my own gallery: don't hold back any feedback, please.
Cheers, guys!

skunkwurx do a carbon 295 fender/mudguard/thingy. I do like the style of those wheels though as I do think they suit the 4 bolt pattern of the Atom and look easy to clean. What make are those wheels??

They look like 20" with crazy ultra-low profile tyres

The breaks look like they came off a bicycle. There so small behind those wheels.
I sort of like it tho. Need more pics.

Thanks for the feedback, guys.
We contacted our friends at HRE to produce a set of wheels offset specifically for the Atom based off the R101 style - 18x9 in front and 18x10.5 in the back. They're one-off for now, but we'll be able to do more in the next month, powdercoated to any color you'd like.
We chose Toyo Proxes R888 tires: 255/35/18 front, 315/30/18 rear. The combo is striking, but proportionate in person - I think it's photo perspective that's making that front wheel seem enormous.
RS4 George: I agree completely. If we'd had more than two weeks to get everything all together, we would have definitely filled out the wheelwells. Instead, we threw the budget money and time at a significant amount of carbon fibre.

Re: Hello, from MADNESS Autoworks (US)
so what did they charge you for a set of custom wheels??
Re: Hello, from MADNESS Autoworks (US)
Have you or any one actually driven this atom on the road yet, id be very interested to find out how it feels with those huge wheels and low profile tyres. and if someone has tracked the thing a video would be great.
And a good look at your carbon fibre panels, have you done the nose?
cheers.

Usually ruins the ride - sidewalls do offer quite a bit of suspension.
Would have looked nicer smaller - only personal taste.
Nice color combo though.
