Was thinking about getting a windscreen for mine.
Other than the weight issue, can you give some feedback on any reduced buffeting / wind noise.

Night and day. No helmet required. Talk to your passenger

Thanks for that.
I'll have to add a post to see if anyone has removed one that they no longer want.
Otherwise stump up the £1500 for a new one.

Cheers

Only thing I would say about the Windscreen is that you end up with a lot more wind by your legs.  You will need an additional pair of trousers is you are going on a longer journey

High Smithy,

I took my windscreen off... (which has an unused glass screen).. yours for £1,000 only problem is, I'm keeping the specially shaped 'bonnet cover' which acts as a Gun Sight  http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=AHYQh4bQi0E

BTW Vernon, the video shows that (contrary to what Red Bull says) 'having wings' doesn't help  >:D

Hi Vernon,

I can't believe a fellow GTR driver is asking that question...  ???

Rather than lifting the throttle - dabbing the brake (weight transfer)  helps settle the front end of car in some situations??

Correct..  also when there's no need to change down a gear for an upcoming corner then..  the car never becomes neutral (Atoms don't do neutral  ;D) and so from weight transfer forward (during braking) onto front wheels (which equals loads of steering authority) then a smooth transition to power-on...  which Atoms do like.

That's interesting, I cant say I find the LFB to be much cop in the Atom due to its 66 / 33 weight distribution. I guess it's down to how I prefer to drive it with more Rear Bias on the brakes too. I seem to have more success with a good Geo setup and balance of the car to achieve the rotation required.

I currently Run:

Front Toe - 2mm Toe in
Front Camber - 2.9o

Rear Toe 1mm Toe Out
Rear Camber -4.0o

Zero Thrustline.

Ride height
118mm Front
105 rear

Should anyone be interested.

Settle the front end? With the above settings I never get understeer.... ever... once it's warmed up. AO48's on MAGS

What pressure do you use in the AO48's ? Road and track ?

Vernon,
Camber seems a little excessive...  maybe rears -2.5 to -3.0 and fronts -1.5 to -2.0 but of course this is down to personal preference.

However, unless you've mixed your Ins & Outs..  I would urge you to have TOE IN on the rear with a slight amount of toe out on the front.

I use AO48's on the front and 888's on the rears on mags...  find I get more tracktime with the Toyo's at the back.

Yea you are right mixed up in and out.

I like the camber as is, stand them up a bit more in the wet, but it suits my driving. The heat spread is jus on tollerance according to yokohama, im experimenting with the ride heights at the mo.

A day at Silverstone would be great...  just not sure I could do a day soon.

However, I know this is short notice but, I'm at Snetterton 300 on Thursday 8th May with RMA Trackdays if you could make this day...?  Here's a link http://www.rmatrackdays.com/event.asp?EventID=131

Cheers,
Barry
