Hey Chalky I grew up and married with kids in Yorkshire (Guiesley, Yeadon & Otley) before moving to North America..... and I know the Brits like to think the yanks know now't about geography but when did East Yorkshire happen?

Humberside with its thriving ports and docks didn’t want to be associated with “mainly” South and West Yorkshire.

Since the fish swam off into European waters they’ve been clinging on to their Yorkshire roots.
I’m as surprised as you, I left at 17 and returned some 20 odd years later and no one was more confuddled than me.
It’s officially referred to as The East Riding of Yorkshire, especially by those whom reside in Beverley.

Depending on the Dates, you can probably count me and possibly another one. We are both in Lincolnshire, One Sleaford and I am in Cleethorpes.
And I work in Normanton on a fairly regular basis.

You’ll both be able to get to Bawtry then ? Fairly straightforward for both. Especially from cleethorpes, towards Market Rasen, brandy wharfe then thro Gainsborough ? Then on to Our gratis free coffee stop…. Wich dunt appn oftn rarnd ere !

All we need now is some one who works at the Magpie chip Oil and we’re sorted !
