Good afternoon to all,
Another new member to the forum here, come to join you from the Isle Of Man.
Currently without an Atom however that should all be changed by the end of this week when my 3-300 should be delivered. It has been ready for some two weeks or so and is currently sat at the factory whilst all storms and the bad weather have delayed the ferries to and from the island across to england.
My original order was placed just over two years ago when my then girlfriend (now wife) took me down to the factory- and paid the deposit as a birthday surprise. I thought we were going to "another" horse show. However there we were, and I didnt stop grinning for at least a week after the visit and run out, and even then my grin only slighty subsided to a wide smile.
I have owned various "supercars" in the past, and been out around the TT course ( parts of which have no speed limit) with friends on the back of their bikes-yet still nothing prepared me for the sensation of speed and exhileration that I felt from the Atom run.
Thoroughly looking forward to getting my sticky little hands on my Atom, and even though it is coming at what might be recognized as "non-atom" season, I feel sure that I will be taking every opportunity I get to go out and have a run.
Well theres my intro, and I look forward to being part of the forum.
Cheers ManxAtom

Hi,
Nice to hear from you.
Welcome to the forum. Look forward to hearing more.
If you do a search for "rules of collection", you'll see that people will be keen to know the spec of your car, first impressions when you pick it up, and of course, pictures of the special day....
Cheers,
Rob.

Re: ManxAtom
Congratulations, and take it easy.
A wet winter road with a 300 can be like driving on ice!

Re: ManxAtom
Thanks for the pointers Rob, I shall make sure that i take some pics and document my first "owned drive".
Speaking of which I also appreciate your advice RichardR. In fact any further advice on the "virgin" drive will be most welcome. I have the feeling that its going to like the first time you get in the car on your own after taking the "L" plates off!!

Welcome aboard, Manxatom!
There's something so atmospheric about weather getting in the way of Atom delivery, halting the ferries out to your island home!
Sure, a delivery at the onset of winter isn't ideal, but you'll love it nonetheless!

Re: ManxAtom
Welcome to the forum Manx. I too am looking at a possible winter collection, and judging by the (in)accuracy of the recent weather forecasts could well have an "interesting" wet drive home. Not sure whether to go for it on a mild but possible wet day or wait for a cold high pressure day with possible salt or even worse potential for black ice and frozen bits- on me and the road
Anyhow onto more appealing things, you have some awesome roads to try your new baby on, just a tad jealous. I hope to get to the island in mine next summer

Welcome to the forum Manx.
I was hoping to come for the TT next summer when I'll have my Atom, but for the first time in my life I've been listed for jury service for two weeks commencing on the 7th June. Don't you just love serving your community.

I love the internet.

Congratulations on your Atom.

I notice that Isle of Man is not part of the UK (saves me a potential faux pas) and Manx Gaelic has an interesting history.
And I now know where Manx cats come from.
Did I mention I love the internet?
