Thanks for the comments everyone. It doesn't look like i can edit the post but yes thats the mileage. Its higher than average for an Atom but for a car nearly 13 years old thats only circa 3,000 per year, which is nothing for that k20a.

I would add if anyone is worried its more how an Atom is used rather than the mileage thats key to condition.

Some cars hammer around track all day so their low mileage is much more damaging. A track day experience car or ex cup car could be on 10K miles but those will have been all on track and it could be tatty as anything!

My car is predominantly a road car and has been driven around Europe on holiday a few times hence the higher than average mileage.

I bought the car from Ariel direct, and the car is currently at Ariel having everything double checked as it has every year since new. When i collect it there will be nothing out of place anywhere on the machine. I know where i'd spend my money.....

Always buy on condition never mileage. Proper servicing is essential. Specifically the k20 engine needs regular oil changes.

The number of mk3/cups I saw with under 10k that required *alot* of work to bring them back up to standard (not A1) and no credible service history was very high.

Btw is worth noting the k20 engine was ultra reliable on my last atom over 23k miles - with the last retune giving exactly the same horsepower and torque as first retune, 12 years ago!
