You're in luck.
Coming to the U.S. as a Scion

Smart car about to get a mini-rival

It has a back seat  -  and  9  airbags.

(probably not with that beautiful Aston grill though - sorry  :) )

*sigh* car companies.  Throwing your grill on a mini car or a mini van or a 4 door saloon just degrades the rest of your cars.  Just like Porsche died when they made that minivan.  As far as im concerned, porsche is a Minivan company now

Cynics suggest that if they can lower their corporate average carbon emissions, it will result in significant tax savings.

Dont get me started.  I swear, if Ferrari makes a minivan I'll blow up Italy.

Of course the Cayenne is a best-seller.  But that sort of makes both your and their points.

The Apocalypse is Nigh: Porsche celebrates 250,000th Cayenne

I don't really see anything wrong with Porsche or even Ferrari making an suv.Granted, is nothing I would buy,but then again,I would not buy a 911 or a 430 for that matter. GM makes the Corvette and the HHR.Seems to work fine for them.

Now,if Ariel announces plans for an suv...I may join Bolus on the edge... ;)

Aston Martin could have at least made their entry into the micro car segment  somewhat stylish instead of another bug-eyed little boxed turd. :P

It is just my disgust that everyone's life goal is to make their company tons of money.  like someone said, we should not get mad at AIG because they were just doing what they were supposed to: make as much money as possible no matter how they do it even if it screwed over the world.

If I was named Porsche, we'd still be family owned, make fantastic sports cars, compete in international races to advance the sports car technology.  And if my company wasn't profitable doing that, I'd liquidate it.  F'ing Sell outs.

The World is not run by the heart,Bolus. :-[    The car world is a constant reminder of that fact. Like it or not,the O-mighty dollar is king.

Sorry Bolus for ruffling your feathers!! :-X

I dont see anything wrong with this concept. Aston's styling is probably the best in the world. Their bodies make even the iQ bearable!! Thats a testament to Aston!

Oh yeah it is cute, and I sure like cute cars.

But they are doing this to make money, not because they are a high performance Le Mons racing company filled with racing heritage.    Im sure when Lionel Martin was running the Aston Hill speed hillclimb he was hoping to start a comapny that made cute little putput cars for trendy chicks with dogs in handbags

I agree Astons are stunningly beautiful...horrible little piggy eco cars are not, whether they're styled by Aston Martin or Toyota.
