Saw this today and thought....

...oh dear.

Why on earth bring a safety car out before the braking point after start line into a blind corner?

Safety car and stewards totally at fault in this case.

The stupis-ass in the "safety car" did not even stay inside the blend line on pit out! What a waste...

I bet both drivers (racing) had a few expletives to say when they saw that!

Its like the safety car swerved into the middle of the track!!
Cock.

The "safety" car DID drive directly into the race line. >:( That ass-wipe had better be jobless and very sorry for what they did. Whoever hired them should pay full restitution for the damages they caused. Idiots (The JERK in the safety car) are NOT supposed to be allowed on a race track. They can have the public roads all to themselves.

Franz Engstler crashed into him, he could have been the first Independent to win a WTCC race, great circuit though.

There were waived yellows on the start and through the corner though and he still seemed on race pace.

It was reckless of the safety car, but can't see why Franz Engstler was going so fast, he couldn't have been passed anyway.

Yellows indicate caution, and no passing, but you are not required to slow your pace.

The "safety" driver was 100% at fault for that incident. NEVER are you allowed to cross the blend line, especially as dramatically as that person did!

Rules for waived yelows:

Yellow Flag (waving):
Warning!!! There is danger ahead and you need to be prepared to stop or avoid an object or car. There is no passing from this flag until past the emergency area.

He didn't see all that prepared to stop.

..be prepared to stop... is not the same as slow down. Maybe the corner workers had not displayed the yellow at the stations he had passed? I dunno...

Anyway, it is 100% the fault of the dodo who drove into the racing line!  If that person had stayed inside the blend line there would not have been contact.

Alain Menu in the blue Chev Cruze behind didn't back off (and he is 46) a seasoned professional.

in a way similar what happened to Nick Heidfeld in 02 at Brazil in practice -
