Ford EX - cocept car

Post by Alec » Tue Mar 31, 2009 12:09 am

I've just stumbled across this article from 2007 about a concept car called the Ford EX that was actually designed way back in 2001.

It's described as the 'Ariel Atom of off-road vehicles'.

I quite like it. :tu:

More photos and details can be found Here.
Atom 245, (Atom 160 - SOLD), Yamaha XVZ1300 Royal Star, Ford Sierra 4X4 Ghia Estate, Skoda Octavia vRS Estate, VW Golf 2.0 TSI GTI (Nadine's)

Except those tires are hugely unrealistic... I like it to.

The front "spoiler' was required by DOT. It is supposed to be a bumper. I have seen the car without it,and it is beautiful.  Many people run their Prowlers without the ugly DOT required bumpers and the cars are quite nice to look at,once you take all that mandatory bullshit off. Thank God Ariel does not attempt to comply with DOT regulations. I give them much credit for not bowing :tu:

The GT90, was meant to be the new GT40 in the 90's, but never really made it, only 1 car which Jeremy Clarskon was allowed to drive at Silverstone... ...at 40 mph.

It was said to have near 1000bhp and could do 240, yeah sure.

Try and picture it without the bumper. That is how I first saw it. Sad how they ruin things with legal requirements.
