Truth In 24 (24 Hours of Lemans video)

Post by fiestycolumbian » Sat Mar 21, 2009 8:33 am

Just watched the best racing documentary I have ever seen.

Its based on the Audi R10 TDI at the 2008 24 Hours of LeMans.

Loved the sweet Diesel turbo sound.
In-car views of the drivers at night, where you cant even see the circuit 100 yards ahead of you, was just epic! :tu:
The music/soundtrack and the up close visuals were just breathtaking.

Kudos to Audi and ESPN for producing an amazing movie.
Also didnt hurt to have Mr. Transporter himself, Jason Statham, narrating the story.

A must watch for any racing fan.

Sorry guys, have I missed something? It's a frighin diesel ffs!
It's the reason I stopped going to Le Mans after 11 visits.

Would still like to see it though, anyone know when it's on in the Uk?

It is a great documentary on the building of the R10,the R&D, and the drivers.  Very enjoyable. And...yes,a diesel. Most of my vehicles are diesel,so I do appreciate the technology.

But..I will be rooting for the Acura today!(Sebring)

I love those big friggin front tires! :tu:

Any idea where we can get the movie from in the UK?  Is it available on DVD?

It looks like it's only in the US store, which needs a billing account over there, so it couldn't be downloaded.

I even tried using my AOL account but since they were bought out over here by a UK company it's changed how that works as well.  :(

Hmm, not on amazon either.  Pretty frustrating 'cos it looks like a fabulous film.  Anyone in the US fancy popping the iTunes download onto a DVD and posting it over?

even though it is free it is still protected with stupid DRM.

My favorite parts are when then rebuild the entire car in 15 minutes during a race and when one of the drivers explains the whole course.  You can really see his love for racing.
