thats the one...if my memory serves me right the model was a CPC464.  i had a commodore 64...my friend had the amstrad.
read somewhere that if you were to load the data from a modern PC/PS3/Eggbox game today through one of these machines you would die before the game loaded.  :laugh:

im pretty sure its the model that used to FIRE the tapes out rather than eject them

Binatone and Amstrad both named after people...

Alan M Sugar Trading

And the daughter of the Indian founder of the other company's name was Bina

I think I used an Amstrad word processor once several decades ago... And I owned a Binatone radio

Why aren't companies today named after the people that started them?

...Apart from Bentley, Bugatti, Citroen; Ford, Ferrari, Honda, Lamborghini, Mercedes (OK, another daughter - of a friend, but hey...) Morgan, Pagani, Porsche, Renault, Rolls Royce, Suzuki, Toyota, and of course Maserati.

....and it was founded by Joseph Smith and not Jesus but apart from that.

Morissons is named after its founder, as is Sainsburys and John Lewis (I expect)
