Hill Climbing for numpties......

Post by toms » Thu May 19, 2011 1:00 pm

My brother Henry (you may know him from the Ariel parts department) and I are doing our first ever race meeting on four wheels this weekend, a hill climb at Wiscombe Park near Exeter.

We will be campaigning our rather snazzy bright yellow Peugeot 309GTi in class C3, modified limited production cars.  I have a feeling that we are going to get eaten alive by the local nutcases  ;D

If anyone fancies a good laugh then by all means come have a watch and and find us in the paddock - I shall have the caravan there so if you want a cup of tea/beer we'd be happy to see you and share tales of our driving heroics  ;D

If in doubt look for the brightest, lairiest yellow paintjob you've ever seen and that'll be us...........

Wish me luck - I'll need it  :o

If you want, i have some pre-worn tires - might not ship in time though LOL...  :P

And no way you can beat my yellow paintjob!

Good luck nonetheless!  :tu:

Yes indeedy!  Saturday I imagine we will be horribly slow whilst learning the track - only 4 runs per day!!!  Sunday I imagine we will be horribly slow because it looks like rain on the Saturday night.

So basically we're going to be horribly slow

I might see if I can get down there for Sunday if the weather looks as good as the forecast.
A relaxing blast down the 303 in the Atom might be just the tonic after a day on the cricket field ;D

I don't think so somehow!!  Come and see us Trig - I know you're desperate to have a look around my caravan as you secretly hanker after one for holidays with your family  :P

You can tow it behind your Skoda  ;D
