Wanted: Headlights

I would like to change the horrendous headlights i got on my car.

Any suggestions?

Wow, we all love them to bits and wouldn't dream of changing them 

Could you get away with a UK style set up or do you need them mounted forwards?

I attached my dominator style motorbike headlmps (round 90mm diameter with a c150mm deep bowl) on the top of the standard UK indicator (turn signal) brackets to give a three light set up.  It's not perfect aesthetically, but I prefer the look to the rubber dubbers and the function to the standard mounting points.  I'm rubbish at doing pictures, but if I get time tonight I'll have a go to show you what I mean.

I've been looking at Dominator-type headlights but their dip beam pattern is flat not tilted - as apparently car headlights strictly have to be. Has anyone had any MOT problems with flat dipped beams?

I had the hard cased UK headlamps on my last car, but it seems the Factory's gone back to the rubber cased 'frog-eye' lamps:




Think I'm going to take them off altogether - easy enough to bolt on in the rare event I'll be driving it after dark, and the car looks more focused:

bit of a weird one this.. i sold the atom,bought it back then sold it back to the same person,and now i am using it (still belongs to my friend) so you should see a shinny red atom about stratford from time to time!
