Self-Cancelling Indicators - a new batch?
Re: Self-Cancelling Indicators - a new batch?
That's what I think. I will be very surprised if I can make it work if Ariel couldnt
Re: Self-Cancelling Indicators - a new batch?
Hi digger
Only just get in
It's the 3 wires that come from the indicator switch
When I wired up as per the instructions they did not work
So played around with the wires and found out that with the wires
The way I said earlier it all worked.
I will pm you with my number so we can talk through it
Then again you might have a duff one.

If it's a duff one, I'll replace it with the last one I have. But please do try and see if you can get it to work first.IanG wrote: Hi digger

Also, I'd be most grateful if someone who has fitted one of the new batch could send me the method they used so that I can correct the fitting instructions and tell Raffenday where they've gone wrong.
Thanks guys

Re: Self-Cancelling Indicators - a new batch?
Hi Bruce...the intention was to fit these, this last weekend, but inevitably other things intruded, including driving the new Atom.
However I looked closely at Ian's note and the wiring diagram, and they're different. Ian's note says match the colours from the loom to the spade connectors but the wiring diagram has a mix of colours from the loom to the spade connectors. I am assuming this is the issue. I will endeavour to get it installed this week, and let you know.
Thanks

Re: Self-Cancelling Indicators - a new batch?
Hi Bruce
The only problem with the wires is that I think Ariel
have changed the colours on the main harness
The wires Should read on the 3 wires to the harness
Green/Red to Green/Red
Green/White to Green/White
Green/Brown to Green/Black (it has a very small tracer on it )
Other than that all other wires are the same.
If you get them the only thing that's happens is the indicators stay on all the time as Ariel wired them.

Re: Self-Cancelling Indicators - a new batch?
Here's where I'm being clueless, and really shouldn't have been allowed near complicated things like this.IanG wrote: Green/Red to Green/Red

I checked the instructions on the 1st page of this post, and they appear to say that. I checked my instructions, and they also appear to say that. Some perhaps it's the instructions yourself and reg received with your indicator kit that is wrong, as opposed to what I got, and what was posted on Page 1?
Like I said though, don't count on me spotting it... it took me -hours- to fit mine.
Re: Self-Cancelling Indicators - a new batch?
Mine were wrong, for sure. But it was close enough to work out
'he was reet fast'
Re: Self-Cancelling Indicators - a new batch?
Bruce, do you still have one set available?
Also, do any of you guys who have fitted have any photos of the install?
Cheers, Ashley

Re: Self-Cancelling Indicators - a new batch?
So i picked my set up on Friday from Bruce (thanks for the tea!) and fitted them on Saturday.
A massive thank you to Ian who took my calls to talk me through the install when I got a bit stuck, much appreciated!!
All working perfectly after an hour road test just to be sure...

I think that list is out of date...
