Has anyone installed these on a 3.5?  My kit was sent directly to the factory to be installed as part of the new build.  Except that Ariel can't get them to work in the new car.  So perhaps a faulty kit.  Manufacturer tells me each kit is tested as good before dispatch, so only other option is this kit is incompatible with the atom 3.5 loom?

Yes, I fitted mine. There is a mistake on the wiring diagram and the wires don't match exactly. It's all working though.

Tks Reg.  Areil have taken the kit out now.  I will have a go but I suspect they will go back for a refund

Thanks Reg

Which wires are incorrect? I'll get Raffenday to correct the error.

I had a quick look this am but I don't think I scribbled it down. I will write the connections down later and post them up. IIRC the switch wiring was ok, it was something else.

Just had a look at mine
The 3 wires from the factory loom are
Green / Red to Green / Red
Green / White to Green / White
Green / Black to Green / Brown ( small tracer)
Give that a try if no joy give me a call 07860 432386 and I
will talk you through it

Thanks Ian.  I will check that when I pick up the car in two weeks or so.  Ariel have already removed it after not getting it to work.  I will not bother them again by asking them to try again with this new information.  I will let you know how I get on when I get the car.  Cheers

If I have chance I'll try and fit mine this weekend, and can then perhaps confirm Ian's findings.

That said, I'm not known for my practical ability, or patience, and more than one project of this sort has gone in the bin far sooner than most would expect :)  I just need to remind myself it can work, and it wasn't cheap.

Fitted them today.

If you follow Ian'S suggestion and just match the wire colours, it works perfectly.

Now that I have the car, I'm going to have a go at this on the weekend.  However looking at Ian's note and the instructions I can't work out which wire is incorrectly labelled ?  The instructions I've got seem to be the same?  The same instructions Ariel couldn't get to work?  Ian or Phil, any advice?
Tks

Hi Digger,

It's really easy once you've done it.  ;)

Basically when you pull the connector off the existing indicator switch, you've then got 3 plugs, and in the new wiring three sockets, match the same colour to the same colour, I'd start with green/white as the most obvious.  Then green/red and finally the two left over obviously (which happen to be green/black to green/brown but I couldn't tell the difference).

And if I had one final tip, don't do what I did and sit looking at the diagram, read the step by step instructions, it makes far more sense that way!

I spent ages trying to hunt down connectors on the main loom, but turns out they're pretty obvious if you follow the step by steps.

The only other one I'd mentioned as less than obvious was the brake connector.  If you look at the two brake cylinders, one of them will have a wire coming out, follow that up to the loom and then unplug and plug your bits in.  For some daft reason it took me too long to find that one!

By all means let me know if you want a hand (though my availability isn't the greatest!)

Tks Phil, but that seems to be the same as the instructions I have, and the ones Ariel tried to follow and it didn't work.  I was trying to identify which part of the instructions are incorrect as pointed out by Reg and Ian.

I will have a go and see if it works

Cheers
