Custom intercooler was designed for my project, but unfortunately I was unable to finish it.

It fits to the Roll bar, like on the pictures.

Conditions: Brand new.

Dumb question but isn't the engine air intake in the roll bar, so if the intercooler goes here where does the air go into the engine?

Either a side cone filitered intake (as seen on a few tinkered atoms), or.... straight through the intercooler.

So the downside there is a) warmer intake air .... hold on, my heads about to explode.....

So the intake air is warmed by the turbo/super, is cooled by... the intake air that's just about to be cooled again by the... intake air thats......... pop.

Sorry, dunno quite how that one works out... I expect as not 100% exchange of heat, the engine just melts on the way to temperature of a star.

or b) the intake air is impeded by the extra "filter" in the way, potentially reducing i) the ram air principle ii) the air entering.

If the standard air box was still used -

Air passes through (and crucially over the outside of) the charge cooler (which could pose a small restriction). This air enters the intake hose and passes through the charge cooler which is being cooled by the air being drawn over the outside of its core.

Being forced induction the compressors generated air passes through the charge cooler before entering the engine.
All interesting stuff.

This is for turbo or big supercharger conversion.
The air intake goes to the different place, it will look similar like on the pictures below.

Tbh, my atom still scares the living sh1t out of me so any performance upgrade will only make things worse
