The legislators came up with this not Brammo from what I understand.  Also, it does not say Atom in the law at all.  It is a nice effort by the state but in the end a dumb law.

Bolus, it's likely a dumb law (as many are) because the legislators have absolutely No idea what they're referring to. It's like me suggesting standard of care for your profession and like you suggesting standard of care for mine. It would help to really understand what they're legislating. How many of them are car buffs and how many of them just use cars to get around?

It freaks me out that probably all the laws are made this way.  Legislatures barely having an idea on what they are voting on

In this case I imagine a bunch of them saying "what, no way that thing is safe to drive on the street, teenagers are going to be running over babies mad max style...  oh, what did you say? Brammo is going to bring 500 jobs to ashland and manufacture electric cars?  hell, I'm up for that, where do I vote!  oh, just make sure that thing does not go on the highways, it is likely to suddenly fly across the road and smash into a baby truck"

I see on DP's site that he got his car registered under the new Oregon law
