What is the ingredient to win a "race" like this In you opinion?

Speed is necessary, but having a reliable car gets you pretty far. I think if I went mod crazy on my car we might have had problems along the way.
It helped that other folks in our class (especially the S4 racecar and the Dinan m5) each had a DNF.
Traction control in the rain helped get a 5th and 4th place overall finishes in TX.
The rest is all driver - especially with unfamiliar tracks. I would have gotten to know the tracks better knowing what I know now... would have finished better overall.
I would have loved to have beaten Tony Swan in the Nissan GTR in more events than we did.
