AtomFest - Sunday - Day 4+ - the Aftermath
Re: AtomFest - Sunday - Day 4+ - the Aftermath
I come up with 4917 total according to google maps.
Trip out
Day 1 - 445 - hillsboro to Ashland via the coast
Day 2 - 471 - Ashland to Yosemite
Day 3 - 503 - Yosemite to Bullhead city, not taking Tioga pass
Day 4 - 504 - Bullhead city to Albuquerque
Day 5 - 661 - Albuquerque to Hallett
return trip
Day 1 - 661 - Hallett to Albuquerque
Day 2 - 867 - Albuquerque to Tulare
Day 3 - 805 - Tulare to Hillsboro
I'm sure Bolus will correct me if I'm wrong though.
Actual mileage travelled according to my car though is more like 5500 miles... but I don't think I did 600 miles on track and the two drives into Tulsa, and the side trips to gas and around Albuquerque, so I'm not sure what is causing the disparity

Re: AtomFest - Sunday - Day 4+ - the Aftermath
Guys, I'm not even close at 2,847.00 miles. But do I get any bonus points for nearly getting caught in a tornado? How about driving in sleet and snow?? Those have to be worth some kind of bonus.
How about running into some road debris and bending your suspension but still driving on.....200 bonus miles. Pulling out the piece of truck tire caught in your front suspension and ripping open your hand on the razor sharp steel belts...400 bonus miles.
I'm slowly catching up.....LOL LOL LOL
Driving across the country in an Atom and meeting up with a whole bunch of crazy Atom enthusiasts at a race track.....Priceless.
cheers

Either Darth (5000 miles) Terry or Maverick

Yep... either one of those guys. My round trip Mileage was 2948 according to Yahoo Maps. So it's between Darth, Terry and Mav.

I did about 4000 miles total out to AtomFest and back - I drove the same route as Bruce outbound, but meandered around the South on the way back. I have about 16500 on the odometer at this point.

It was the experience that was priceless.
I would have gladly paid twice as much as it cost, as 2X not a lot is still not a lot.
