Atomfest III

Post by Flying Phil » Thu Sep 30, 2010 4:48 pm

I've got to try and book my holidays for next year, and was wondering if there is an Atomfest III planned? If so, where and when. I would really REALLY like to make it out in 2011.

IIRC the "Atomfest" name is a trademarked or copyrighted name so that's Randy's (1965cobra427) department.  I'd go to an Atomfest 3.  The last 2 were fantastic.

I'll try a personal message to Randy... test the waters, see if it's something he'd like to be involved in again ;)

I have contacted Dave Goadby and offered my support and the use of the AtomFest logo, name, etc. for a 2011 event with VIR being the likely venue. It is a great track and TMI would be a wonderful host. There is even other more exciting news, but I'll leave that to Dave and his TMI team to reveal as they see fit.

VIR's famous climbing esses are awesome in an Atom!

It's a great facility with a terrific lodge trackside

Another, smaller lodging is REALLY trackside - here is the view from the porch

The track is definitely Atom-friendly

If they (TMI) host it - I will DEFINITELY come!

I would LOVE to drive my Atom at VIR.  If such an event were going to happen, it would be great if TMI would commit to it ASAP, so that those of us with transportation difficulties could start sorting out solutions & saving our pennies.

Ear plugs man, ear plugs!      Do you actually drive your Atom without them?    ;D
