You can turn an Atom on a sixpence -

Step one: begin turn.

Step two: add throttle

Step three: you are now spinning like an F1 driver getting back on track

Step four: control this so that you just turn 180 degrees

Bingo - facing the other way!

All it takes is practice somewhere with plenty of blackstuff..

I guess that answers the question of "why doesn't the UK factory make periodic upgrades to the Atom?"  You blokes just seem to have a non-engineering solution for everything...

KenAZUSA,

Yep, I'm interested.
I'm in the Bay Area, but willing to drive a bit, maybe even Az., to load up.  I have a single car trailer, but not the time to drive all the way.
When you have details, please post or P.M.

Thanks for looking into this,
Jerrdog

Hmm... I may just ship my extra wheels and tires. Are we still planning on the Atom Caravan?

If everybody who wants to share a Hog Haulers trailer from the northwest/West coast will PM me, I'll contact them and try to get a group/club rate.

We haven't decided yet but probably south down through California to pick up as many people as possible then up to Colorado to pick up bottoz then back down to Oklahoma.  Probably a week long trip.  We're hoping to find gracious Atom owners along the way that will let us sleep on their couches in exchange for meals so we dont have to end up in motels every night worrying about are cars out in the parking lot.

You know the wife and I will lend a hand anywhere we can as well.  At very least we can park the Jeep and STI outside to make room for some Atoms in the garage while their owners catch some zzz's on the couch and / or guest bedroom.

Jammer, are we the only east coast owners(soon to be)?

I told my Mom I bought an Atom, and she actually shrieked into the phone. She is scared for me. I told her I'd buy her a helmet.
