Cars And Coffee DALLAS 4/2/10

Post by silver » Fri Apr 02, 2010 4:13 pm

Spanky and I plan to be in attendance, this is a great car meet, its not quite as extravagant as the Cali version but for Dallas it's pretty awesome, Any other DFW atoms out there or car enthusiasts should attend, we'll be there early in the morning..........Hope to see y'all out!

This was the biggest gathering of the coolest bunch of car I have been to! Silver & I figured at least 700 head turning car just in our side of the show lot. Great weather too. But there was the kid that was explaining to others that our cars were Caterhams. Silver & I just stood there trying to keep straight faces and just be glad it wasn't a grown-up know it all. Number one question or comment overheard was "street legal?"  One more Atom was there, but never met the owner.

Yeah, awesome show, Veyron, Carrera Gt, probably 30 vipers from a race team at MSR, 30 porsches varying from RUF's to Caymans GT3 RS's, awesome stuff.

The 3rd atom was a ecotec Red panels black fenders silver frame, rear carbon wing but with the TMI or UK mounts and new Texas plates so my best guess is it's a 2nd owner who recently purchased the wing....hope he chimes in here, I tried to have the meet officials direct him over towards us but he was nowhere to be found, I'm sure he was enjoying the show :)

Other highlights were, undercover cop pulled at least 4 people over leaving the meet,

and

wait for it..

Pontiac solstice rammed the rear of his car into the highway on ramp b/c he lost control exiting the show...no cop for that one.

There are several videos of the day, and pictures.

Here's Spanky and I leaving start around the 6:30 minute mark

note both of us obeyed all traffic laws, unlike some others  :D

apparently that wasn't the only crash

but no real details of the other crash as it happened down the road, it may or may not have been related to the car meet.

but guy in solstice....ruh-tard.

I feel bad for the Solstice guy. It's just funny how ironic it is that the most underpowered car of then entire meet is the only one that spins out of control.
