NA Ariel 2, Battery wiring

Post by Ben » Sun May 08, 2022 7:23 pm

Hi Ariel Club,

well I've just bought my first Atom, it's a Atom 2 in rough shape and the previous owner had it wired to a Saab labeled car battery sitting the the luggage compartment.
The car ran fine and the bonnet could be closed.

So I am at home but forgot to take a picture of the wiring. Don't want to try anything stupid as I don't want to fry the ECU. The new battery will not arrive before Thursday and thanks events in the last two years registering a car in germany (well where I live) takes 3-4 days anyways.

These are the four cables I have.

The wire of the one in the blue Isolation shrink wire is covert in isolating braid and is connected to the body at the steering gear, but the wire under the mesh is red?!?
I'd love to look at the wiring diagram but thanks to this chat I've already learned that it isn't available.

Maybe

How that's what I call service, what a community!
Sledgehammer visited me at my house, after a bunch of problems we got the car running. He's also nice enought to borrow me his backup battery until mine arrives.

Thank you once again Sledgehammer

That's how it's should be
