Very easy to change with some care needed to get the key spline in the correct orientation so steered wheel was straight. Well worth doing if you have a SPA.

Do you mind me asking is it much more expensive than just the quick release hub to order the column too?

Sorry Charlie, I cannot remember what I paid but it was several years ago anyway; I passed all invoices/service history over to the next owner. It will be more expensive but you know it's been done right and is a straight swap. Give Ariel parts a call on Monday.

The blank, raw upper column was £45 + VAT back in 2017
