More obscure info please!

Post by Atlarge » Tue Jun 01, 2021 10:12 pm

Does anyone happen to know what the bleed nipple thread size is on the clutch slave cylinder (transmission end) for an Atom3 ?

I've recently acquired some very nicely made Stahlbus bleeders (thanks to K20A2 for the tips) to install on the brakes. I'd also like to get the same thing for the rear slave so that I can do a 'one handed/manned fluid service' without breaking my back, if you'll excuse the pun(s).... :o

Appreciate any advice or pointers!

Cheers.

Thanks as always John, I read some where else that its M8x1.25 for the K20 generally (or have seen it on a parts diagram maybe) but not sure if it held for the Atom. Will give it a go!

Cheers.

What is the advantage of these bleeders?

I think the main advantage is the one man operation for super easy line bleeding or fluid changes. They have a sprung one way relief valve incorporated (separate from the main thread for the bleed nipple) so you get a good fit then bleed without opening and closing the main threads, or introducing any air to the system.

If you have a shop / garage or handy mates / wife etc they maybe little benefit!

...draw your own conclusions from that statement!!
