Carlimits Driver Training

Post by Preseh » Wed Mar 31, 2021 12:44 pm

Hi All,

Just found out that Carlimits (https://carlimits.com) has gone into administration which is a shame because I was planning on booking a day in the next month or two to get used to my AA4 before Silverstone in June. For anyone who doesn't know what it is, it's essentially a driver training day on an airfield where you can safely push the limits and beyond of your car and learn some really cool stuff e.g. threshold braking, trailbraking, controlling a slide etc. I have a feeling a couple of the guys on here have done one before and I did it in my old Elise a couple of years ago.

Does anyone know of anywhere that does a similar thing? I've got tuition booked for my Silverstone day so it's not the end of the world but was hoping to get most of my lock ups and spins out of the way on an airfield first!

Mark (the instructor you'd get at carlimits if Walshy wasn't available) has started up a new business running similar days at the same location. http://drivelimits.com/

Walshy has also posted on a Lotus forums stating carlimits has been purchased by everyman racing so he may start running days again as well.

Oh awesome, thanks for that. Mark was the guy that instructed me last time and was great. I'll probably get that booked up for one of their May days then :tu:
