Snetterton 300 booked for 15th September

Post by Anon » Tue Jul 28, 2020 7:23 pm

I have booked Snetterton for the 15th September and reserved a garage if anyone wants to join me?

They seem to be booking up very quickly.

It would be great to do some tests on lap times, a 3.5R (any takers near by?) vs my 4 350 - I have lap timing and will have a smarty CAM by the time this event occurs.

Oooh getting competitive now. :)

Not forget peeps, the driver makes a massive difference, far more than the car.

Size of your gonads is normally the limiting factor :roflp: It's all for fun, I am curious though, so far we don't have any proper lap time differences between the two cars.

Best way of knowing is to ask the factory. All the numbers I’ve ever quoted have come from them. They’d be best placed to let you know. Comparison times can be misleading when the cars are being driven by different drivers.

The guy who did a lot of the 4 testing came from Belfast. He took me out in a poverty spec car. It was as close to the much vaunted 40k starting price as could be. And, boy, could he peddle. No way could I have kept up with him in my 3.5 SC.

Cheers,

Not sure why. Surely all that “matters” for Simon’s purpose is which one is quicker round a track?

Yes Hedge, but comparing dyno runs is fun to watch too.

Aye. And tuition is a whole lot cheaper than most/any upgrades.

I have some tuition booked in as well. We never stop learning, there is always something we can improve on and the Atom is the fastest thing (in terms of bhp per tonne) I have ever driven on track.
