Has anyone been to Cadwell Park before

If so, do you have any feedback for running an Atom around there? I have always liked the look of it, quite tight though.

Cheers

Yep, amazing curcuit for the atom, very technical in places but yiu also get to open her up a bit on the back straight.

The 'bump' takes a few goes to get used to and get right and get the confidence to know how the cars going to behave but it's all part of the fun.

It's my local track, the bump that Hamtt mentioned is the Mountain, I track my MX5 there, fantastic track for nimble cars. As you probably know, its nick name is the Mini Nuremberg. Well worth a day out. Quite technically, Atom cups go around in 1'35".
Top speed around 120-130
Off on Wednesday, hope the weather stays good.

Thanks it does look technical but it seems well suited to an Atom.

MSV has open slots for 8th September £169: https://www.msvtrackdays.com/car/calend ... sept/8-cp/ with a static noise test of 105dB - which is quite high, may get away with a sports exhaust.

Anyone else interested in going?

I've booked, hopefully see you there, unfortunately my 4 is not ready until early next year.

Love Cadwell. Great track, very ‘nadgety’ and it certainly gives you a work out. It’s a bit of a yomp for me these days but really want to take the Atom there soon.

It doesn't look like it is very forgiving though.

Once you get the confidence, trying to make a straight line of the chicane straight after after pit exit is entertaining for the driver and frightening for passengers. I haven't been for a couple of years but there used to be a flexible bollard you could almost clip on the entry to the chicane, to a passenger it looks like yiuve not seen the bend and are gonna go straight in to it.

And if I remember correct the gooseneck is a blind left hander that you have to start turning in to and be on the right place on the track before you see it, otherwise gets very hairy.

It actually sounds like a lot of fun. Cadwell Park seems to have that essence that other tracks lack. I think it's the undulations and sweeping bends that make it fun. Donington is similar but not quite as pronounced.

The thing I love about Caldwell is that every corner is truly distinctive.
People say it is narrow and twisty and it’s true, overtaking can sometimes be frustrating as the braking zones and corners can seem to dominate the lap, but it is very rewarding and huge fun.

Thanks. I am trying to book a day there now. I need a "race car only day" really but they are all just booked up. It's not far from me also, about 100 miles.
