Silverstone GP cct track day 8th July 2020

Post by Peter255 » Wed Feb 26, 2020 10:21 am

Anyone up for Silverstone GP cct track day 25/3?

£429 for the day (which is a bit cheaper than the ones later in the year). Its about twice the cost of Combe, but this is the full GP cct with nice run offs so we can explore the limits in relative safety.

Thinking of getting a garage too for £50 if anyone wants to chip in and share.

Noise shouldn't be a problem @ 105dB(A) static unless your a sports exhaust runner, and even then you might be ok.

Get your names down.

I'd potentially be up for this. Won't have the Atom for another year so I'd be bringing my Lotus.

69 Views and only Preseh potentially down to attend. :-\

This is good value for Silverstone. Later in the year its ~25% more expensive!

Lets get a few names down and we can split a garage and have some comfort!

Sir Nick Up for this? You might be ok with your sports box on? Its nearer than Spa! ;)
Alex Brandon-Smith Let me know after the weekend if you can make it.

I would love to go but I can't guarantee I will have my car by then and it certainly won't be run in. Having a garage certainly will help. I may pop over though if you end up going and blag a passenger ride! :)

Happy to split costs on a garage. Would be awesome to get a passenger ride in the 4 although that'll no doubt make the wait for mine even harder

Trying to work my diary for this chaps. Would love to get back to Silverstone. GP was awesome last time and I wasn't even charged back then. Now it'll be mental. I'll be a bit rusty though Peter255 !

Trying to get heat into tyres is an issue. I’ve done track days in Feb/March & it’s real hard to get tyre temps up.

I’m sure others shall disagree, though 👍

Cheers,
Hedge

I agree with lack of heat but the bigger problem is this time of year it rains alot. Unless you have wets it will be difficult.

Ok so I have booked with a garage which will have space for 3 cars apparently. >:D

If anyone want to join me in the garage and split the cost they are welcome. :tu:

Alex has found us a 10% discount so price is £386.10 which is a BARGAIN for the GP cct!

Call 01327 320267 quoting code CTD2020 for the discount.

Its a bit of a gamble with the weather this early, but we have a garage to shelter in, and its now SUPER cheap for the GP cct which is usually over £500.

GET BOOKING! :vroom:

All booked up! Thanks for sorting the discount Alex.

Happy to share the garage with you Peter - let me know how much I owe you and I can bring cash or bank transfer.

Cheers,
Matt
