Can some one give me a post code for this location?  I'll pop along and watch.

Nick,

No specific postcode but you could use OX13 6JA, signposted for Dalton Barracks.
The entrance is the first gate on Barrow Road which leads to the barracks.
If you get lost give me a ring.

The good news is I picked up my Nomad on Tuesday :). It was a bit later than originally planned so the not so good news I won't be partaking tomorrow in the day. However, I will be coming along at lunchtime to see how things work for the next time (fortunately I am local).

I hope to meet you all tomorrow.

Lunch can be earlier, 12:30 - 1:30
It sometimes depends on how many red flags have to be thrown.
Hopefully everyone behaves themselves.

Was a good day.

Lovely weather. Dry and not too hot.

Nice to meet some new faces too. Plus some old ones... :)

I should have taken more kit along to adjust the suspension and tyres. I suffered a bit for grip all day. Many oversteer moments across changes in surface. All caught though, and hopfully on video! LOL

The fun was only stopped at around 4pm when I developed a horrid pedal and pretty much no braking as the rear pads wore down to the metal! Home time. LOL

Vids to follow.

Cheers guys
Peter

Good day out and great to meet you guys.

Track was quite abrasive and highlighted need for some geo setup but otherwise all ok.
I think I passed everything and nothing passed

A few videos of the day. You can see coming onto the old straight I had chronic oversteer issues at turn in doing any decent speed due to something to do with the surface. It was quite frustrating as due to the track width it should have been a FAST apex. See the first vid around 2mins in for the first of many examples! LOL

Otherwise it was a bit tight for my liking in the chicanes, but fun overall. :)

Enjoy.

Found out why I had such poor grip and kept getting over-steer moments.

A rear wheel bearing is utterly shot. NS/R wheel is primarily held on by the brake caliper!

That's why that brake pad wore down to the metal!

Ooops. :)
