Helmet Intercom
Helmet Intercom
I want to have a lesson with an instructor on a track day.
Do they supply an intercom set or will I have to have one fitted in to my helmet?
If I need to buy a set, what do others use with their Atoms?

I think an instructor on a track day normally has an in ear headphone for you to be able to hear him, so you won't need to provide an intercom.
If you are thinking about buying one, the Scala Rider G9X is a decent wireless intercom. It can connect with your phone or other G9X sets if they are paired. I have one and it works ok.

Re: Helmet Intercom
it will depend on who you hire.
Tor the 20 min tuition you can book alongside the trackday, they usually do not have any communication device (none of the ones i booked had)

+1 for the G9X. Good kit...

Honestly? You will learn as much in any rear wheel drive car, so hire a BMW 1 series and be comfy and be able to hear what's being said.
Then go out and out what you've learned into practice.
Regardless of intercom, you won't be able to concentrate as well on what you're being taught in the Atom.

I have the G4, never really got on with it.
Is the latest Scala, the Packtalk. I looking to upgrade and would probably go for this.

Some motorcycle friends love the Sena 20s but I haven't tried it myself.
