CROFT NOISE TEST

Post by ragezx14r » Sat Apr 09, 2011 10:15 am

I know this has been covered elsewhere but i'm at Croft on 2nd of May on a noisy (105db) trackday.

I've seen a thread on here before but can't find it where someone fitted something to the exhaust to keep noise down and maybe even bought it at Croft???

There was a picture on the thread that didn't show up as it was on a photobucket account that must not be used anymore.

Can anyone enlighten me on this as it will be my first trackday in the Atom and the last thing i want is to be sent home for being too loud.

It may have been a supertrapp or similar that clamps on the end of the exhaust.

Help please..Thanks in advance

A 3 300 will be fine, I was there last year in my 245 as were another two 300s with no problems.

Nice one Drinks. I take it the engines in them three only rev to 6K?

You will be fine. You red at line at 6,000 therefore you will be asked to rev to 4,500.

That is the only info you should need and you will sail through at about 95 db with the standard exhaust.

Plus the 3 300's have a static rev limiter, so will on rev to 5000 with the car not moving.

better to keep it below the limiter on tracks with lower levels. My 300 is 98 db static, but if u hit the limiter, it reads 104 plus. Most TDO's are cool with this and most tracks have no issues on drive by levels with 300's. They are quiet in comparison to many of the others there
