Taken from a low angle. Look closely and you'll see the crown of the highway complete with a double yellow line.

Sorry, it looked too bright to be the surface of the highway and the double yellow lines looked like the fault I've seen when a photo hasn't downloaded or uploaded correctly.

Three beautifully settings though.

Asphalt road likely in need of a new coat of oil or whatever they use to keep them from cracking. Lots of roads here in Texas around our lakes and such that look like that in the bright sunlight. Does make you do a doubletake on the pict at first, but it is not a corrupt jpeg.
