No Wattie. Click the link and you'll see we have a few mountains that are high enough to get snow.  :)

I went to a cruise held by the local Corvette club that was held about 30 minutes from my home.  The weather forecast said about 30% chance of rain so I took along my helmet and waterproof clothing just in case.  For the meet prior, and for most of the 20 mile cruise around town, the weather was as nice as it could be - about 80 degrees F and partly cloudy.  And then, just in time for my drive back home, the skies opened up with no warning.  Although I threw my helmet on while driving, my clothing got soaked fast as I didn't even have time to put the rain gear on.  I had my Hoosiers on (A6, 295 rear/225 front), and because I have now cheated death, I can report that they will allow you to water ski an Atom in the rain on most paved surfaces at any speed over 40 mph.

So I arrive home and the rain is letting up.  I'm about to turn onto my street, seriously cold and miserable, more soaking wet than I've ever been in my life, when the sky comes into view through the trees.  I park the car in a spot with the background in mind and got a few good shots.

There are a few spots where there were water droplets on the lens, unfortunately.  Didn't have one piece of dry cloth on me or in the car at this point.  But it did make a great pic, and both rainbows disappeared 5 minutes later.

These pics can be found in my website's image gallery here, in larger size/quality.

Great picture - love the lighting from several angles in this .. don't usually see this.

What's with the angled mirrors?

Yes - I love this shot - very urban but free as if the Atom and its occupants are outside of the constraints of the landscape - plenty of ;D too captures the car and the feelings of the driver and passenger very well..... :tu:
